A clash between supporters of the Senator representing Kogi West, Dino Melaye and those of the Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaha Bello, is currently ongoing oin Lokoja, the state capital.

Melaye who had arrived in Lokoja to address his supporters on his recall from the Red Chambers attracted gunshots from his supporters and those of the state governor that lasted for over one hour.

He arrived the gate of the State Polytechnic, Felele, at about 11am.

He was midway into the address when continuous gunshots were heard from the NATACO end of the Okene/Abuja road.
