Luk What You've Done! Man Utd Target Arrested in LA for Disturbing the Peace

It seems that Romelu Lukaku isn't content with making the headlines on the back of newspapers, and is hell-bent on seeing his name plastered across the front pages too.

The talismanic Everton striker, who is on the cusp of completing a £75m+ move to Manchester United, has been the talk of the town throughout the past week - but it appears that all of these stories are going to his head a bit thanks to a report from TMZ Sports.

The USA-based media outlet has revealed that the United transfer target was arrested out in Beverley Hills by L.A police after a gargantuan house party caused angry neighbours to call the authorities six times over Lukaku disturbing the peace.

The 23-year-old has been living it in California over the past fortnight alongside good friend and soon-to-be-team mate Paul Pogba ahead of returning to matters on the field with pre-season training.

The duo, who are likely to be part of United's travelling squad for their tour of the US in the coming days, opted to throw a huge party at their plush pad on Sunday 2nd July - much to the chagrin of their neighbours nearby.

Suffice to say, the police were called out on a number of occasions and, after Lukaku failed to heed their warnings over turning down the noise, arrested him over failing to comply with them.

United fans can rest easy, though. Lukaku was not formally charged or taken to a police station, but was issued with a citation - a paper used in various courts given to an individual requiring them to somewhere at a certain time.

Lukaku will likely be given a slap on the wrist and a fine to pay for ignoring police requests, but he'll be more than capable of forking out whatever punishment he is given.

The Toffees forward had initially held out hope of rejoining boyhood club Chelsea, but is now set to move down the M62 to Old Trafford sometime in the next few days after he was pencilled in for a United medical.
